What We Do

What We Do

Central to Wellness is body movement. However, Wellness isn’t only at the physical level. As well as our external body, Wellness is also internal. Wellness is also at the mental, emotional and soul levels. Wellness encompasses your whole being, with whatever enables you to be the most effective in your life.

What does this mean?

Physical external wellness is about body movement.

Physical internal wellness is about what you swallow, and its quality.

Mental, emotional and soul wellness can be obtained via tangible means such as doing the things you love (some, in moderation!). Mental, emotional and soul wellness is also obtained via intangible means – through managing your mental and emotional states.

Our Mission

FLOW Wellness endeavours to create the ‘space’ for you to be even more effective in your life – emotionally, mentally, physically, spiritually.

What does ‘space’ mean?

  • Physically. Stretching provides ‘space’ in your body by creating flexibility in joints, connective tissue, and muscle, so that the body’s fluid can flow throughout more effectively, and in this manner, also giving you a more effective body to live in.
  • Mentally and Emotionally. Enables you the ‘space’ to more effectively deal with emotions, mental challenges, stress, and daily life!
  • Spiritually. Physical and mental / emotional space enables better access to your spirituality (or, if you prefer, your ‘intuition’ – which is actually the intention of yoga).

Above all, having space enables you to have the freedom to live a life with effect!

Who We Are

Hi! Welcome to FLOW Wellness.

FLOW Wellness is about providing you with space to be even more effective in your lives.

FLOW Wellness was initially founded from my zeal for yoga, of which I realised from my teacher training that I wanted to share with others.

However, my first encounter of yoga during university did not begin encouragingly – I did not enjoy the class AT ALL. It was the conventional perception of yoga – sitting in a corner, breathing, and chanting curious words; and I had ‘expected’ to do something … move my body, feel enlightened, and get some sort of a result by the end of the lesson!

Fortunately, my yoga experience did not end here.

5 years later, I was persuaded by friends to attend a class. This latter event, I imagine, was what I had expected of my first experience! My body was awarded feelings of bliss – feeling lighter, longer and invigorated … like I was walking on ‘cloud 9’!

From here on, I continued to walk the yoga path, with yoga bestowing balance and flow in my life – physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.

The pursuit to deepen my comprehension of yoga, coupled with the desire to understand the body’s anatomy, led me to enrol into an internationally recognised Yoga Alliance Teachers’ Training course. The initial aim was for personal improvement, but I became to realise that I could make a difference in people’s lives by optimising their yoga practice with correct alignment. Thereby, creating space for people to be even more effective in their lives.

I have had over 12 years’ yoga experience, with my experience embracing the traditions of Ashtanga, Hatha, and Yin … and I am ever constantly evolving with continual education and study. From this experience, I create classes to fit your level and needs.

I am also a certified Neuro Linguistics Programming (NLP) Practitioner, which provides the foundation for the Wellness Coaching, to support you to achieve your Wellness results.

Aside from my personal development and yoga journeys, I am also passionate about my whole wellbeing. I take pleasure in continually learning and supporting myself physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually through body movement, nutrition, personal development and my personal favourite, being pampered through facials and massages!

All this, has led to the birth of FLOW Wellness, which I would like to think of as your Wellness Partner.

I hope you enjoy FLOW Wellness’ services.

Your Wellness Partner,

Fiona
